Thinking of switching my date from 2011 to 2010...thoughts?

Hi all!

I got engaged on Thanksgiving and originally we were thinking of October 2011, but after meeting with some potential planners and discussing it we are considering switching the date to November 2010. Do you think I have enough time if I do that? I haven't started at all except for meeting with potential planners, but I have heard that since it will be less than 12 months and a November wedding we can get some great discounts, I'm just worried, will I have time to do everything?
I'm dead set on a fall wedding, so there is no in-between, it is either fall 2010 or fall 2011. Thoughts?

yes you can definately do it. if you start now on a steady pace you will be fine. most important thing is to make sure you can do it financially

i got engaged on thanksgiving too! yay us.

we are doing our ceremony october 30 of 2010 and then a reception like a month later. long story.

you can do it but GET MOVING.

Yes it is possible.....My FSIL just got engaged in NOv. and she is planning a wedding for Aug. 2010. It is definately do-able. Congrats!

I think you'll definitely have enough time, but just start booking your major vendors right away because you want to get your date. Good luck

You can do it! Vendors who aren't booked already may give you better deals to book the date and if you. The money issue is important but if it works out don't be scared about the time!

i think you have plenty of time...My bff is getting married in Sept of 2010 & all she has is her venue...NOTHING else. So lets just say your 2 months ahead of her..LOL
