i dont know... i guess it would depend who was asking... i dont think it would be an easy thing to carry a child/children and then have to give them up

No and no.
I don't even want to give up alcohol and caffiene for 9 months for my own kid (though I wouldn't give it up alltogether, IMO American culture gets bent about a preggo lady enjoying a random glass of wine whereas it's common elsewhere).
And it kind of freaks me out to have my egg and his sperm in someone else.
However, that's because most medical procedures give me the heebie-jeebies.

I'm not sure... I don't know if I could emotionally handle it

I agree. I think if I needed to have a surrogate mother carry my babies it would be something I'd have to reconcile at that time. I think women who ARE surrogates are some of the most sefless individuals and deserve a lot of praise for what they help give a family
I don't think I would personally be a surrogate, but I never say never.

i dont think i could ever be one. i admire people who can do that, but i think it would be so difficult to carry a baby for 9 mths and then give it away even if you knew it wasnt 'yours'
not sure if i would use one.

I would DEF not be a serrogate. I am scared to have my own kids, be pregnant and give birth... i couldn't do it for someone else.
As for using a serrogate. umm.. I don't think it's for me. Imo, and again this is my opinion, it's too similar to an open adoption for me which i'm not 100% for.

I'd do it for my sisters (thankfully i can say this won't happen, they each have two/almost two kids)
I don't think i could ask someone to do it for me.

Re: third baby topic post
will never carry someone else's child and if we're on the subject I am against me or FH donating egg and sperm
I cant imagine giving up my kid - doesnt matter what the DNA says, after carrying the baby for 9 months its is like ur child
would not use a surrogate, would prefer to adopt

ITA. I don't think I'd be able to give the baby up after all that, even if I already had my own kids.
I would definitely use a surrogate though if necessary and I'd want her to stay in the child's life... if she wanted to, of course.

Re: third baby topic post
more than anything, i want to help people in this world and if i could give anything i will however in some situations like this, i would have to put myself first. personally, i know that the mental repercussions of doing this, for me would be unbearable and i dont know if i would ever get over having to give up a baby that i gave birth to and carried
eta: and i would personally never want to have a surrogate as the carrier of my child. kind of for the same reasons why i wouldnt want to be one myself. i would always fear that it would rouine the surrogate's life plus other reasons

i would definitely be a surrogate. especially if it was for if my brother's needed one or a good friend.
i think being pregnant is so beautiful. i cant wait to be pregnant in a few years.
watch me actualyl end up hating it but i'm one of those girls with like super maternal baby yearning so i feel like i'm going to love it.

i would be a surrogate mother. but i dont think i could do it for just anybody. it would have to a friend or family member or something (like phoebe from friends lol). as for me having a surrogate to carry our child? idk what i would do.

same here... its the after being pregnant and not having a baby there that I have an issue with... i would only do it if it were for someone in my family or a really good friend

Re: third baby topic post
I am currently scared to death about pregnancy and child birth and I have joked to FH that we can use a surogate and he said yes, only if he can have sex with the person carrying the child
I would not be a surrogate -which might make me pretty selfish, but i am deferring to my giant fear mentioned above.

Possibly if it was for a relative but I wouldnt use one I would rather adopt if for some reason I cannot get pregnant than there are many children out there who need a good one that I can provide.
