Re: This Holiday Season
I can relate! We're very lucky where our wedding is being gifted to us, (by my parents & FILS ) but we're waiting to 2008 to purchase a home before the wedding this holiday & next will be very low on the materical end , Maybe you & FH can do somthing sweet together in lieu of gifts..

Re: This Holiday Season
That's what we were thinking of doing - I have off from school for the holiday break and he takes his vacation that time - - -so we're hoping to spend it together and plan some memorable outings!!!

Re: This Holiday Season
I've actually been saving money for his christmas gift since before he even proposed. I wanted to get him a PS3 but that is out since I can't get one! But I plan on spending a pretty large chunk of cash since I've been saving since july. As far as gifts go for other people, I plan on doing A LOT of baking and giving out some home made chocolates.

Really? Where did she get one from? I refused to camp out 4 days before it came out!

Re: This Holiday Season
i think we are just buying for our parents, combined gifts, and i have a sister, and he has a sister, so we will buy for them too. and my dad has a girlfriend, and my mom has a boyfriend so that adds 2 extra people. lol
i guess its the usual people this year
OH this is just a WARNING, Over the summer i bought a giftcard from pathmark, it was 50 dollars to lowes movie theater. Lets just say they charged my credit card and the giftcard was empty. I am still in a fight with them, the giftcard company investigated and they reported back to me that the transaction never took place, my credit card was charged so its still in dispute 5 months later.

Re: This Holiday Season
I know what you mean, we have a big installment payment to make the middle of december to our RH and we also have to make another payment for our engagement party in december. I'll probably use my bonus towards FI's gift.

FH and I set a limit of 100 each. My parents and siblings I'll spend a bit as well, but for everyone else, I made chocolate christmas houses!
