This is a very sad day...

My job was saved today, but several others have been laid off, including a friend of mine from the department. Also, we are awaiting more terrible news about some changes, which we will recieve in about an hour.....

Please, if you have a job, please be grateful.... Today has got to be the most ackward day of my life...

I went through a lot of awkwardness with changes in my company. I am SO grateful to hvae a job. This is just such a difficult time!

I know how that feels honey....my company over the past 3-4 years has done it share of massive layoffs. I have had so many friends leave. It is truly sad.

And we hear that more are to come and I don't know if my job will be affected. I am that it isn't.

It def ***** right now.

I know my job is only guaranteed till December cuz our grant wasn't renewed but I MIGHT be able to move into another dept. But at that point who knows what dept's will be left.

I remember this day oh so clearly from a couple of weeks ago so sad apparently there will be more here after our busy season so after you work the most crazy hours it may end up being for nothing, crossing my fingers everyone else hang in there!!

im so happy that you still have your job.....and i totally know how you feel. my company has gone through several rounds of layoffs and its a terrible and sad atmosphere whenever it happens

OHMIGOD!!!! They are reducing our pay and maybe our hours, taking away bonuses, reducing PTO.... I have to get a second job. I cant afford to get married!!!:

I just want to leave, have a drink and try not to think about today ;(

im so sorry...but things will get better. And as much as you don't want too...maybe a second job a few hours a week isnt the worst thing

I'm so sorry to hear that, try and hang in there!!

I am so sorry to hear that. My company just made similar cuts this week too. I have a second job as a waitress/bartender per diem. If they need me they call me if I can do it then I do. If I can't no biggie maybe you can find something like that. It really does help.

Everything ***** right now. We all just have to hang in there and cut back where we can.
