one of the worst feelings in the world, is calling vendors and telling them that you have to push back your wedding for like 2-3 years. Yep, we have decided (well our financial situations have decided) that we cant afford my big dream wedding and i refuse to settle, so we're gonna push the wedding back. we're gonna do our europe trip, probably have a baby.. then when things are looking good.. we'll start planning again. thanks to everyone thats helped me with all of my stupid questions and my strong opinions. you girls are the best and truly have given me tons of insight and info on weddings. xo

Awww. . .you're definitely making a good decision! I'm trying to plan my dream wedding in less than a year with no money and no time! My parents are definitely helping alot..as is the fact that FH and I are both working 2 jobs! Sometimes I feel like we should have given ourselves much longer to save and plan...but once I got it in my head to do it in a year....I was on a mission! LOL-
I hope you take the next few years to relax, plan, travel and work to make your dreams come true!

We ended up with the big wedding we had always imagined with just 18 months of saving!!!!! It's possible if you'd like to do it, FM me. I never thought I could have a LI wedding since I'm from Rochester. To me, weddings were double the cost for the area. We saved on so many different things. FM me if you'd like to know.

Awwww, so sad but I totally understand - at times I want to can the whole thing simply for financial reasons...but at the same time I say hey...If I don't have a big wedding I will regret it - if I have a small wedding to save $$$ I will regret that too...SO best thing is to have done it and not have the wondering of what my wedding 'could have been'! So I understand you want to wait...but no need to leave us, you can still plan an 09 wedding and stick around! Hey, isn't there even an 09 board!!! It's not THAT far away!
