This may be too personal but.......

.....is anyone waiting to have sex with FH till after your married? Even if you've had sex before, I know a lot of people will stop and wait to make it more special on their wedding night.
The reason I ask is because our church obviously wants us to abstain, they dont even want us living together. And we seriously feel like sinners now. We're thinking about abstaining now till the wedding....but its OHHH so hard!!!

well, we live together, so....

in all seriousness, we have talked about it, and we may when we get closer, but it's so hard to be 'good' once you aren't, you know? but for me, fh is the only one to ever get that far, so it's special.

yeah. and that's what we are thinking. we want our wedding night to be amazing. now granted, we are going to be EXHAUSTED and probably will collapse, but we want it to be memorable, so in our mind, abstaining when we are like a month out, that will give us just enough of that unbearable desire to make it incredible.

right now for us, i think that fh is just glad i didn't give it up for lent again this year. he was oh so miserable last year...

I know there are a few brides on here that are waiting until their wedding night. We personally had decided not to do that.....for personal reasons.

Our friends who did that got married 2 years ago. They both were each others first. They were 24 and 22 years old. Anyways, the girl said she never regretted anything more than waiting......becuase they are not sexually compatable. They are currentley atteding counselling sessions. I feel bad for her. That was our fear......so that is why we never waited.........BUT, it is a VERY personal decision and those who are waiting have personal reasons why.......but it just wasn't for us
We are holding back for a month prior though.....

If I even suggested that, FH's response would be 'what did I ever do to you (to deserve this)?'

same response he gives me if I tell him he must attend a vendor meeting with me...

it would never fly at this household!

We will stop and hold out for after the wedding at some point...tho it may only be a few days We live together and have for years so its kind of hard to do that

We tried ~ it lasted a month ~ we have not been having it as much (since I had to go off of birth control and he refuses to buy condoms & I am afraid of becoming pregnant....) Since the precana thing I feel like a major sinner... but I feel like I am forgiven I go to church every sunday & am a good person other wise.... but I am not perfect... so this is my major imperfection....

we'll probably try not to for like 3 weeks or so before the wedding, but who knows how that will go! haha we'll prob be all stressed and cranky!

but do what works for you both spiritually...i wish i was stronger with this as well. do what you feel called to do!

We livetogether. It's too hard!! We decided no hanky panky 3 days before!!! I think thats about as long as we will make it. FH is a huge horn dog!!!

Yes! We live together, and since our Pre Cana back in January - we've been really really good! We thought that it would make it somewhat special the night of. We've had some steamy nights - but have been on best behavior.
