This RSVP thing is freaking me out

Totally causing me more stress than I have had my whole engagement!!!!!

Why can't people send them back???

The due date is in 10 days and I am missing 43 response cards, thats over 80 people!!!!!

i would say that i was waiting for like 30 people as of the RSVP date
we had to call everyone and 4 people are 'getting back to us' STILL

well guess what. tomorrow i am going to the florist to finalize the order AND if two more people come i have to add an ENTIRE table and CP

thank goodness for my parents, they are screening all the calls ( the people are from my side of the family) and they are going to tell them they are sorry but everything is set and they can no longer come

I know this is the rudest tackiest thing that you have ever heard of - but we called each couple TWICE and never heard back from them. So too bad so sad you aren't coming and making me do over ALL of my seating and CPs

i mean, im not glad that you are going through this as well, but it does make me feel better to know that it not just MY guests and FH's family that dont have the time to drop it in the mailbox!!!

30 actual people about 15 RSVPs ( a little bit less bc I invited families on each invitation )

since they are mostly couples and a few families, its about 90 people!!!!

i am getting really upset

i did all the seating already. Some tables are full and some have ONE empty seat. SO if any couple RSVPs Yes. I will have to start a whole new table and then pick and choose from the other tables to fill them up. I am sorry but that is NOT fair, the tables are PERFECT and I am saving money on the CPs.

I was so surprised that my parents said they would tell them not to come but they saw how stressed I was and promised to take care of it for me. They are going to say that all the seating and place cards are at the hall already and I won't have a chance to get there again to change anything, LOL

i did my tables too
i made them on word and the people that responded i put in black
people that have not responded, i put in RED so that if they DO respond YES, i know where to put them

aaaw...i didn't get all my responses until well over a month after my RSVP date. I had to spend so much time tracking people down.

oh i was just wondering since i'm getting married before you

we sent the invites out the day after thanksgiving, then some more after that and then a 3rd batchc
due date is Jan 5

I don't care to get anything back for the next week or two but if I don't see anything in two weeks I will be pissed.

My feeling is the sooner you send out the invites, the better. It gives people time to respond and then if you have an earlier RSVP date, you have time to contact the bums that don't send back the cards.

It is tough sending out RSVP's ... especially when they know that you have to have the numbers by a certain date... it's irriating!

Also how hard can it be when you already STAMPED it for them and all they have to do is take two minutes of thier day to send stuff in!!!

Grr.. it just annoys me!

Unfortunately, youre probably not going to be getting all of them back. Ive come to terms with that. People who arent coming I had to track down and get a verbal NO from and I had to get some verbal yeses. Its really really annoying and I have to say, this was the most annoying part about the whole planning process. Its rude and inconsiderate but I guess people dont realize its so necessary to respond.
