So I have an old friend from college. I haven't seen her in 2 years and I had no intention on inviting her to my wedding because we don't really talk and not that close. She recently popped up on AIM and asked me when my wedding date was. Then she told me she probably couldn't make it bc she is pregnant and her due date was right before the wedding. ( I was relieved that I had a built in excuse for not inviting her). But now, she IMed me again and said that her and her boyfriend will probably end up coming with the baby! Who is she to invite herself, her boyfriend and her newborn to my wedding? I kind of find it humerous, but the same time, I don't know how to tell her she cannot come.
Just thought I'd share a story. I'm sure every bride has one of these situations. What have you done?

I haven't had an experience like that yet... but I can imagine a few people who might think they'll be invited, but aren't. Oh well. I'm not paying $165 bucks a head for people I'm not close with anymore and don't intend to see much of in the future. Simple as that.

Ugh I can't get started on this topic because I'll type forever and ever. I can't believe the guts (trying to keep it clean!) of some people who literally say things like, 'I can't wait until your wedding!' or 'I need to give you my address for your shower'...Ummmm, HELLLOOO????? Who are you?

I just had the same problem!! It was also someone from college, I dont know what to do. I have been trying to delay my return phone calls to her but i know that is so immature. I dont know how im going to end up telling her without totally hurting her.

We invited Alexs 2 friends w. Guest...now both have GFs but i didnt write there names bc honestly i dont even know them! (only met the guys a few times) so now we find out that the 2 guys dont wanna bring their GFs....so 1 is brining his sister?!?! and other is bringing another friend. (the friend was on our list but we took him off) Now hes coming as the guest!?!?! ERRRR im so PO over this

I'm sure she wasn't born with em, OBVIOUSLY! But she's got some set!!! Me myself, cause I'm as blatent as they come. I'd say, I'm sorry, did I send you an invite? If anything......and I mean IF anything, just invite her to the church if you even wanna do that. The nerve of some people!!

Yeah!!! Who the heck is she to not only invite her and her husband...but her baby too???? I would never do that to someone. What if you don't want kids at your wedding?? Tell her 'NO'... I had a few people at my job that are were trying to invite themselves to my wedding!! NO WAY!! Sorry if I sound too harsh!!
