Those who bought coops - what bank did you get your mortgage through?
WHo did you find gave the best rates? I'd really rather not get an adjustable mortgage

Mine is through Chase... but I used a mortgage broker.
Check out M&T Bank if you can't find anything else.

we went through bank of ny i wouldnt' recommend them though we got a sonyma loan for our co-op which gave us an awesome interest rate - 4.25%

sonyma is a government loan program - you get a low interest rate and they pay your closing costs....but you have to meet all sorts of qualifications....your income has to be under a certain amount, the place you're buying has to be undera certain amount. it's a TON of extra paperwork, but it was definitely worth it for us!!

We used citimortgage through citibank, they had the best rate when we were looking.
