Those who had/have both sets of parents on invite...

Those who had/have both sets of parents on invite...

If you had or will have both sets of parents' names on your invitation, I'd love to see your wording.

I'm having some difficulty with this and really need a final decision within the next few days.

Thanks in advance!

We did:

Mr. & Mrs. (my parents)
invite you with joy to be present
at the ceremony uniting their daughter
(me)
and
(my FH)
son of
Mr. & Mrs. (FH's parents)
on Saturday, the thirtieth of July
Two thousand and five
...

I struggled with this too, because I didn't think FH's parents should be on the invite (they're not helping to pay for the wedding), but I didn't want to seem rude by not mentioning them in some way.

I plan on using the following:

Mr. & Mrs. (my parents)
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
(me)
to
( FH)
son of
Mr. & Mrs. (FH's parents)

etc etc etc

My family will be paying for the majority of the wedding so they will go first.

My invites read:

(Brides Name)
and
(Grooms Name)
together with our parents
(Mr. & Mrs. Brides parents)
and
(Ms. Grooms Mom)
invite you to share
in the celebration of our marriage on
.....

We are paying for the reception ourselves, but our parents are chipping in for some of the vendors, so we didn't want to leave them off of the invite.
