Those who have miscarried early

Those who have miscarried early

I have been staining (heavy only at times) since Sunday with very mild cramps. Everyone that I have talked to including the dr said that with a miscarriage it is SEVERE bleeding and SEVERE cramping... for those that have miscarried - has it always been like that or not as extreme? Sorry for bringing up bad memories but I just want all the info I can get.

When I started to MC it was light only when I wiped with light cramping. Then it got heavier bleeding and cramping. When it was really happening the cramping wasnt worse than a period, the bleeding was pretty heavy and clotty.

BTW - how did you blood test go?

Re: Those who have miscarried early

The #'s went up, but didn't double. It went from 13K to 18K. I go Tues for my sono but with all that's been going on this week it's hard to be hopeful. May be TMI, but the bleeding isn't clotty - it's just like a period. But not as heavy. I just wish I knew already!
How long did the bleeding go on for before you actually MC?

Mine also started out like a period and about 2 days later got clotty. My cramps were never too severe, no worse than period cramps.

I remember the not knowing either, it is the worst feeling. I wish I could give you a big hug. Are they sending you blood tests every other day??

FM me if you need to vent or talk.

Re: Those who have miscarried early

Thank you! I went for the blood test on Thursday and the #'s were up but not doubled from last week. I've been staining since Sunday so it'll be a week tomorrow. My cramping hasn't gotten to be as bad as period cramps yet. I've talked to the dr and he said just to wait until my next sono. We're waiting to see a heartbeat and I told DH yesterday that after all this I don't think they'll be ANYTHING there. But after all that I've heard and been through - if there IS a baby I'll be more happy than I can explain, but if there isn't I feel I've already grieved. Really, at this point it IS the not knowing - not knowing what's there or how to feel.
PS - How far were you when you miscarried? I should be about 7 1/2 weeks now.

Re: Those who have miscarried early

I was around 6 weeks when I miscarried. My miscarriage was confirmed by nothing in the ultrasound and blood test every other day to watch my numbers until they returned to 5 or less.

I had moderate bleeding on and off for about a week when I was about 12 weeks.

My little girl will be here on 11 more weeks and is healthy and growing. Staining is alot more common than you think. Did your Dr. put you on bedrest?

Re: Those who have miscarried early

No, no bedrest. But I haven't seen a heartbeat yet so I think he's not optimistic. I go Tuesday for my sono and I'm praying every day. Thanks for all the thoughts & wishes

Re: Those who have miscarried early

When I miscarried, I had no spotting, bleeding, cramps, etc. I found out because we couldn't get a heartbeat and it was confirmed on the ultrasound. I miscarried at 9 weeks, but the baby stopped growing earlier then that. And because my body still thought I was pregnant, I still had MS and all the symptoms. I ended up having a D&C.

I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope it all turns out ok!!

Re: Those who have miscarried early **UPDATE below**

I went for the sono today and it was still just a sac. Unfortunately my baby never made it. So tomorrow he is scheduling me for a D&C. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts!
