Those who ordered prints from Shutterfly.....

how was the quality of the prints? Are they all printed on photo paper and really clear?

I want to place an order (for scanned and digital pics) but don't want to be disappointed!

I have a few print from shutterfly. The first set I got I thought the quality stunk, but when I got my second set of prints, I realized it was my picture taking that was awful!!
Anyway, I think it's worth it. The prints are good quality. There I have a great picture of Geno at Easter, it came out very nice!!
But I have never ordered anything other than the suggested size, I dont know of that makes a difference.
You could always just order one of the smallest size. 4x6 I it's less than a dollar. And see if you like the quality!!

I ordered a 8x10. that was origanally a 4x6 and it came out wonderful. I also ordered my sonogram pics which came out great as well. I should have mentioned that before

I've ordered from shutterfly, snapfish, ofoto, etc. They all seem to be about the same and I'm happy with the prints.

Just an fyi, if you're scanning pictures you want to enlarge, scan on a high dpi - makes for a higher quality print.

Hi Teri! I have been happy with Shutterfly's pics...some are blurry but then that is really my fault w/ the picture taking and not Shutterfly's. A word of advice, if you want to crop a pic, do it in a photo editing program before and not on Shutterfly...it will blur this way. I also think Shutterfly uploads at a certain dpi and it won't matter if you scan the pic initially at the best dpi.

I've heard good things...but my sister printed out some digital pics I took at here wedding (you can get your first 15 free) and they had a definite orange tinge to them...

Of the hundreds of pics I ordered, maybe 20 were not usable, mostly due to my over zealous cropping.

For the price, shutterfly is very good. Its 'good enough' for most things. I use them b/c they do anice job for a low price.

But they dont have GREAT prints. Its always a little 'softer' than a good labs prints.

The ones I scanned to post here do need to be resized in order to get 4x6 shots printed.

I need about 40 in total but maybe I'll order 20 or so to be sure I like the quality.

I ordered from Shutterfly (free 15 prints) and Snapfish and was quite happy. I found when the pics were not the clearest it was usually MY fault (digital camera). All in all, top quality, fast and professional.
