thought I would finally share my two wedding day disasters.
first I woke up with my period, was not due, so my sis pumps me up with prescription ibuprofen, then the preacher is saying all this nice stuff about dh and gets to me and looks up to God with a smile searching for the right words and says Melissa is like a spark plug, WHAT.. AND then we had to walk up the stairs to light the unity candle, coming back down I slipped on the step and grabbed the table so I wouldnt fall, and knocked the candle over, needless to say it did not burn long. but with being under pms, I turn to my sister (moh) and yell to her you are to be helping me. she was so embarrased, we now laugh about this. thought I would share my disaster.

I laugh about it now, OH, and the look on my sisters face, she probally wanted to kill me.

sounds like the movie 'sixteen candles' when the sister gets her period right before the wedding and they pump her full of drugs! At least you made it down the aisle without having to take any breaks!

OH and I also look at dh and say did I just humiliate you, and he sez real quietly NO.

Aww you poor thing. I truly feel your pain because that sounds like something that could happen to me. I avoided the whole candle ceremony for that reason.

my mom always said if a tree were to fall I would be the one standing under it. and I did not even think of the sixteen candles script.

OMG - i am sooo afraid of waking up that morning with my period. It's due right on Christmas Day (2 days before the Wedding), but I'm hoping and praying that BC kicks in so that I'm able to skip it. Ahhhh, it could be really bad if I'm stuck with it. Either I'll be running to the bathroom every hour, doubled over in pain, or extremely emotional (I get like that). So for FHs sake, it better not come. lol.

That's exactly what I was thinking!!!!! When she's brushing the cathedral veil all over her face, passes out, and then their mom yells 'we don't want everyone to know she has her period!' so the whole church can hear!
Sorry to hear that these mishaps happened to you! Glad to hear that you and your sis can laugh about them now!
Just thought of this.... are you a 'Sex & the City' fan? At Charlotte & Harry's wedding, there are a bunch of mishaps. Charlotte's crying in the ladies' room and Carrie finds her..... she tells her if the wedding is a disaster, the marriage will be a success! Charlotte passes this 'wisdom' onto Harry when Miranda practically burns down their table trying to make a speech over an open flame candle.

omg... it sounds like a scene from a movie! LoL that is my biggest fear.. waking up with my period..cause on day 1 i am sick as a dog and good for nothing... i was thinking of asking the gyno for a way to skip it that month..lol.
I know u were probably horrified that day about slipping..but now i'm sure you think of it as a great wedding tid bit!!!
