Thoughts on my tips????

Altar servers - $20 each
Organist - $25
Limo drivers - $75 each
Maitre'D - $1000 (or less depending on service)
Bridal Attendant - $150
Photogs - $100 each
Videog - $100
9 piece band - $225 (avg $25 each)
Florist - $100 (he's a personal friend and is giving me an AWESOME deal)
Hair - $25
Makeup - $25


No DOC, no bathroom attendant. Getting married in a church, so the priest won't take a tip.

Wait staff, bar staff, and valet are covered in the 18% service charge and can also be tipped by guests.

Am I missing anyone????

I'd consider maybe giving your band a tiny bit more? I heard them at a wedding recently and they were AMAZING and I thought 'Oh, that's Laura's band!!!'

I think most of your tips sound really generous.

If you really like your priest and you'd like to give him something, you could always get him a Barnes and Noble giftcard or something.

hey. i think your maaitred tip is pretty generous at 5 a person, right? but still okay if thats what you feel he deserves at the end of the night, like you said

limo- i know with camelot its included...dont know how long you have them for, but we gave a little less....i think 60 to the 4 hour limo guy and then a little less to the limos for less hours. i dont think you have to give as much if you dont want

for hair and makeup, i might give slightly more depending on how much you are paying in the first place an if they work for themself, if they are coming to you or you going, etc.

oh, i had to add, this is just my personal thing about bridal attendants. we both obviously know how much a doc does and thats for the whole day or half and i just think that for a ba to get almost as much as a doc might get in a tip is a little much. i know thats kind of standard but to me its a little much. i mean, yeah see how much they do for you but to me, if they are just like a waitress for you for the 5 hours, then 150 is too much even if they are at your beck and call for any food/drink you want.

for the band, im sure you are paying through the nose already but if you can swing maybe another 5-10 pp, maybe...

Also, I would consider giving the band more. We gave our band $50/each, they really went above and beyond, everyone was raving about them!

I thought about giving the band more, but two of the members are actually the owners of Skyline Orchestras (the mother company).

And if you are using Camelot, then the gratuity is NOT included in their final price. I specifically asked Joe this when we met with them. I think we gave the limo drivers that amount too..they were awesome!

Now I think we are being to cheap with the MD tip.... its just seems like soooo much to tip 1 person!

so we got to tip the altar boys too?

and arent limo drivers usually included?

yes, and i wasnt sure...there was actually a post about this months ago and me and you were confused because there was just a line through the area that said gratuity on the contract. i called and joe said yes, the gratuity is included but i could of course give more if i wanted so we did but we based it on them having already been tipped and us giving over and beyond.

Weird.....I spoke with him today to verify and he said that it wasn't. No biggie, I'm getting an extra hour for free from him, so I have no problem tipping his drivers a little more.
