thoughts on patken photographer

Same here - heard a lot of good, but you may want to check their web site - their style airs on the provocative side. They do have a good rep, so it's just a matter of taste.

Hi, we booked Patken..as for their style it is based more upon your preference. While they have taken some provacative pictures you ultimately determine the style of your pictures. We aren't comfortable with some of the poses and will have a few traditional pictures and mostly photojournalistic. HTH.

We booked with Patken and are really happy with them. We've done 1 of our 2 engagement photo shoots already and the pics were great. As for the provocative style, you go with what is comfortable for you. Not all of their shots are this way. It's a matter of choosing what you like.

We have an appointement with them today.. but have to cancel. FH husband is sick! He's got 102 fever

We booked them & love them so far. You work closely with your photographer before the wedding & decide they type of pictures you want.

Thats funny you mention the provacative pictures. I was showing my mom the websites of the photographers and when she was looking at Patken site, she said 'I don't really like the naked pictures.' I'm actually suprised they would put those on their website.

Kris516 mentioned it in her post. I wasn't crazy about those pics either but I think they put them on their website to demonstrate their ability and creativity. (not just the same old poses). While I do think their beautiful and most are tasteful they just aren't my style. Ya know?

i liked doug and his personality. and i thought their quality was great.

the only issue i have is that i want to have my digital files immediately and they told me I would get it all after I make my book (which can take a couple of months). But this is purely my issue, not theirs.

if i wanted the whole package thing, I would have gone with them - doug really impressed me!
