I'm not going to. First I am spending sooo much on the photographer and video that I feel guilty spending even more on table cameras plus the developing costs.

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras
I was going to, because FFIL wanted us too, but now I am thinking it will take away from the look of the table, so I am waiting to see if he brings it up again.
I was trying to come up with another way to do it, liek have a basket of the by the place card table with anote sayign feel free to tke one, but then they may not be evenly distributed. Also, so many friends & family members have digital cameras & at my other friends weddings, people always email pictures to the couple while they are on there honeymoon.

I'm still not sure....because I'm just afraid people will take stupid pictures and then I'll find out after I developed and spend my money on them

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras
We just got ours back two days ago. They were fun because while most of the professional pics are focused on us, the table camera pics are just all of our guests acting goofy. I loved them and laughed a ton while looking through them!

I'm not using them because the manufacturing process used to make them is really bad for the environment. I figure that guests will bring their own cameras ... I'm going to bring mine and leave it with my sister.

Absolutely. My brother got some really great shots from his table cameras that were not captured by the photographer. I think it's worth it.

NO! Don't waste your money...I worked in a photolab for 5 years. I've seen my fair share of how these photos turn out. Most of the time the biggest problem is that people forget to use the flash so the picture is all grainy and dark. Quality film also counts, anything other than Kodak or Fuji is garbage. Then you have people who just take horrible pictures. They'll take one from across the table so that the flash hits the centerpeice in the pic and the person on the otherside is all dark. Then you have the men who go into the mens room wiht it and take pictures of their you know whats. My advice- let the professionals take the pics.

I am, and I'm doing half b&w film cameras and half color (Kodak 800 speed film). I'm not sure the b&w's will come out that great, but if they do I'll be happy!

to spend 6 dollors (probally get it cheap it) or so on a roll of film that can have great stuff on there is a small price to pay compared to the 100's or 1000's that your spending on the photographer

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras
I'm still not sure. On one hand, I'm sure I'll get pictures the photographer would never get. It would be nice to have pictures of the tables and people doing goofy things. On the other hand, I think the concept is pretty played out (IMO). There have been cameras on the table at every wedding I've been to for the last few years. I always feel obligated to take pictures. It's not fun any more (for me any way).

We're doing it. I think it will be fun to see what pics. people take. I have never been to a wedding with them (OK, I have never been to a wedding at all, so it isn't played out for me!).
