Thoughts on Table Cameras

Each person I've spoken to has a different opinion. So...I'm looking for yours.

Used them because MIL bought them. Don't know how pics came out because haven't seen them. Wasn't going to do them if I had to pay for it.

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras

i didn't vote because i'm not sure if i want to use them. here are a couple thoughts though:

~ one wedding i went to had them and in their pics you can see tons of people taking pics all around. it looks so odd! between the guests with their own cameras and the table cameras it was like half the guests were taking pics (it was on the smaller side, like 70 people)

~ if i have them i will have some kind of note/sign with them. just went to a wedding where we noticed a camera on the table while we were having coffee. we didn't use it even once because we didn't know it was there. everyone thought it belonged to someone else

~ i had disposable cameras on the tables at a graduation party a few years ago and all the pics came bad. i'm pretty sure it was the quality of the cameras at fault, so if I have the cameras at my wedding they will be good brand name cameras.

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras

I 100% recommend them. I had one on every table and five on the kids table. Well, I got so many great pictures. I filled up three albums with them. I am so happy I used them. Some of the best pictures are from the table cameras and I have a picture of every single person that was at my wedding on them. I bought the cheap cameras at Staples when they were on sale a while ago for 97 cents. Well, they worked great, you just have to make sure you give clear direction cards on the table with them to remind people to use the flash. In total, with the purchase of the cameras and the developing it cost me $300, which I don't think is bad at all conidering I went to a 1 hour photo, which is more expensive. But, I totally recommend them. Even if only half come out, I think they are still worth it. I was able to see what a great time people had!! Don't get me wrong, there were a lot that didn't come out, or came out too dark, but the ones that did come out made it totally worth it and the guy at the photo place said he would work with me to lighten the ones that didn't come out!! GET THEM!!!

We're using them - we got them on Ebay - in the whole scheme of money for the wedding - they cost very little

We used them for engagement party, and we got so many great pics. I would definitely use them for your wedding.

I'm not using them, cause I don't feel like paying for it. I know at my sisters wedding there were so many stupid pics from them. I figure people are going to bring cameras, and they always offer doubles. Call me cheap I guess

love em

the different pictuers you get from here are great. the photographers for which we actually pay can't get everything...

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras

I am having them, even if you only get a handful of good pictures. The photographer can not capture every moment.

Re: Thoughts on Table Cameras

I also have the same dilemma. Developing can cause money. Especially if ppl are fooling around TOO MUCH with it.
Yes, some may capture great pix where my photographer may not.

I would love to have them but I prefer ppl to have more fun than just taking pix throughout the whole reception.

btw.. it is okay to place camera on everyother table than on every table???

I will not be using them. I think I am just being cheap because I am paying more than enough for my photographer.

Yes, yes, yes.

I've heard so many more good things than bad. I have a pretty lively family, and I'm sure they will take some great candid photos.

I am definetly planning on using them, I think its fun for the guests to take pictures, and even if I only got a few good pictures, it will have been worth it to me.
