For me, I could never see myself doing that. Too much money and it's too special. I plan to either keep it to do something with it, ie, Baby Quilt or something.. or donate it to Brides Against Breast Cancer, so someone else can enjoy it.

I love the idea of donating it to brides against breast cancer... i think it would be hard to part with but if im not going to do anything else with it, I would definitly donate it

I never heard of it before but I just spend like an hour looking through those pictures.
Thanks so much for posting them Denise, because I wouldn't have pictured them being so beautiful and artistic.
Of course right now it's new to me and it seems like an amazing idea, so I'm runnng with it lolz..but I really don't know if I'd be able to do that to my dress..but at the same time its so beautiful. Some of those pictures are just breathtaking. I think it's a really good idea too if you can do it on your honeymoon if somehow you can get a photographer there.
Just great, now you girls gave me another thing to obsess about!!

SUch a good idea. I always wanted to make a quilt out of it for my baby. BUt the dresses im looking at have way too much beading... whats the brides against breast cancer thing?

It's an organization where you can donate your dress and they have a BIG traveling sale on bridal gowns, veils, etc. Alot of them are donated directly from Bridal Salons and Gown Designers.. So not all of them are gently used..most are brand new. The money goes towards breast cancer patients. It's a great cause..I plan to volunteer on a sale day when it comes to this area.
Oh the other thing was I read that 'Trashing the Dress' isn't about destruction of the gown, most of the time, it's supposed to symbolize to your husband that this is the last time you'll ever have to wear a wedding gown because this is the first and last marriage/wedding.

no they dont rip it up, they just take pics that they never would on their wedding day, such as in the water for example. If you look at the links posted you'll see what its about

why do that and pay for yet another photo shoot and more pics? when you could prob sell the dress right after the wedding and make some $$ back if you really wanted to
I guess because everyone is in different financial situations and have different priorities. The same way some people do not see the point to this photo shoot others would never think of selling their dress (myself included). We are all different.
