We met at work, I was a bartender, he was the chef. He was hired the day after me!

we both were bartenders. There are 2 bars in Long Beach owned by the same owners. He worked in one and I worked in the other. then they started to renovate the bar he worked at so all of those bartenders came to my bar to pick up shifts.
I didnt like him at first... I thought he was arrogant... and he didnt like me either... it was a mutual dislike... until one night after work, were ocunting money and he made a silly comment and I said something back.
We started talking after our shift was over until 7:30 a.m. (some bartenders dont leave the bar until daylight, we were two of them) he walked me hoe and asked me on a date..
weve been together ever since AND we both wound up working at the bar he worked at since it was renovated... lets just say you really CAN NOT work with your boyfriend at a br- it was extremely difficult. needless to say we both quit...
were married almost a month already!!!

Another love @ aol match... His friends put an ad up for him as a joke and I saw that he worked at a resturant and I thought it was owned by a friend of the family and I asked if it was the one... We started talking on the phone 6or 8mths later we met..6 mths after that we went to a wedding together and then just remained friends for over a year since neither one of us had the guts to say that we liked each other then we finally started dating and now 4.5 yrs later engaged....It happens that wedding was actually 6 years ago next week.

We went to high school together! Got together summer after junior year, after being in almost every class together junior year and being friends.

My sister's good friend was dating (now engaged) to this irish guy and they lived in the Bronx. I also did and one night I was going out with a friend to see this band in Yonkers and I called my sister on the off-beat chance she would want to come (we really don't hang out so now that I look back on it I find it to be destiny that made me call her!) and she said 'I'm already going with Jen and John'. John was good friends with my FH (Clive) and was at the bar and he asked Jen to introduce us and that's how we met. We danced the night away. I wasn't interested at first because I had a very bad summer/fall due to being ill and being in and out of the hospital, and I wasn't up for meeting or dating anyone. But we started dating and next thing you know......! LOL

Good ol' SUNY Plattsburgh 8 years ago! We were 6 hours away from home and realized we grew up only 10 minutes from each other (Commack and Northport). We had mutual friends, went out on a date and the rest is history!
