We both went to the same high school but never knew each other. We did however have a mutual friend. Ten years went by and we must have been at the same parties, etc. since we had this mutual friend, but somehow we never met. Then, our mutual friend got married and told me NOT to bring a date. My FH saw me and insisted we sit next to each other at the wedding. We've been together ever since! Our wonderful friend has since passed away but we thank him every day and plan on toasting him at our wedding!

Dickinson Dining Hall, SUNY Binghamton. He sat down to have lunch with my ex-boyfriend and his roommate who he'd taken a class with the previous year. I didn't like him.
5 years later, he proposed in that very spot!

we met at work. i did not care for him at the time, but after we both left the company FH and i met up one night through mutual friends we had kept in touch with. we talked about work and how i was in need of a job, he offered to 'review my resume' but really was just looking for a date. everything clicked and the rest is history...

When I was 14, he was 16 and he was best friends with my brother. We kissed a couple of times but that was all. Then, when I was 17, we started dating...and now I'm 24 and we are getting married!!

At a Fire/EMS convention trade show in Syracuse. We were both exhibitors.
My mother worked at a company in the fire industry and her boss hired me to be their spokesmodel.
His father's company's booth was across from ours and he came over to introduce himself to my boss. He didn't say anything to me! He said he felt intimidated b/c he thought I was a 'hired model'.![]()
I finally went over to introduce myself later that day and we spent the rest of the trade show flirting![]()

St. Patrick's day 2001, and Brother Jimmy's in Manhatten. It's like that song 'Some enchanted evening', not to sound cheesey. The bar was so crowded and I was standing on something next to the bouncer, so I was above everybody else. I kept spotting him, and everytime I looked at him, he was looking at me. He made his way over to me, and I told him I was 21, when I was really only 20. About an hour later I said, 'Okay if I tell you something promise not to get mad....I won't be 21 until September.' So he says 'Okay, you can make that up to me, let me take you out next Saturday night.'
