How has the whole wedding planning experience been for you thus far?? Was it more than you bargained for?? Did you ever think there would be so much planning involved??
For me so far, i would have to say, everything has been minimal stress. FH has been involved 100% so i guess that makes things a lot less stressful in itself...booking vendors was actually fun for us & we had gotten it all done pretty quickly.. so now we have time to pay attention to the small details :)
I wouldn't say it was more than i bargained for, i always knew it would take tons of work since we wanted a big wedding and knew we would be paying for it ourselves.
My sister got married last year so i witness the whole wedding planning experience first hand and knew there would be TONS of planning ahead of us & she has been a big help to the both of us as well... she is going to be helping me with a lot of DIY projects soon (invitations, painting my aisle runner, programs, seating cards, etc.) since i did not get any of the creative genes in the family! (thanks mom!)
but yes, all in all.. the wedding planning experience has been fun and not in the least bit stressful... i'm sure as the day gets closer the bridezilla will come out of me.. but it hasn't yet!!

Good question- I have had a pretty stress free time planning so far, but i never realized how much goes into it- all the vendors, all the $$ and all the little things that need to get done...

I have to say so far, it hasn't been stressful. Sure, FMIL says whatever it is that she wants to say, but I've learned not to let that get to me. The planning has been going along fine. I love to research and plan stuff, so I'm enjoying the process. We also shy away from the whole 'well you're SUPPOSSED to do ______' We're doing what we want, and that's it. We've never been the type to conform to standards, why start now? I like figuring out way to include things that important to us, even in the minor details. And I cannot WAIT to start DIY stuff - I love all that crafty crap! LOL!

so far its been pretty good. I expected to be super crazy all the time, but i think bc of the longer engagement we have been able to take our time doing things which has helped relieve a lot of the stress.
i am sure as it gets closer there will be a lot more stressful things going on

At first I was overwhelmed; whatever I thought I wanted for my wedding before I got engaged I no longer wanted. The only thing that I still wanted was my lace wedding gown. Everything else changed.
I did get frustrated with planning at the beginning but I haven't really planned anything in the last 2 or 3 months. I need to start up again SOON.

Its been a lot of fun. Really more fun than I thought it would be. Only thing I don't like is budgeting- that's the WORST.

Mine has actually been pretty good. I haven't had too much stress yet, and everyone's been really helpful so far. All of my vendors are booked, my gown is ordered, BM dresses picked out. Now it's mostly just little things I need to worry about.
I'm sure I'm speaking too soon though, and eventually something will come up.

So far I have to say its been very fun to plan and not stressful at all I thought it was going to be a big stressfull mess...its alot more $$ than I thought but its all worth it in the end...FH has been great through the whole process he sat back and said whatever you want we will get wich has been great to work with.

actually it has been very enjoyable... a few minor freak outs but nothing serious. I am very fortunate that my parents have been AMAZING! Which plays a huge role in it I think. FH has been really good too he is sick of the color pink but that's just to bad. He didn't know what to expect when we got engaged so it has been harder on him than anyone, he is starting to come around though...
Overall, it has been everything I could ask for!

It has been stressful for me because we went to see 12 halls in about 2 weeks and were stressing about the place to pick. We only got engaged about a month ago but started looking as soon as we got back from Paris because we wanted to get married in June. Everyone tells me the venue shopping is the most stressful part. My FH has been amazing though - drove everywhere and never complained.

It has been so much fun planning. FH is so involved it makes it 100% easier. He loves picking out flowers and photographers, he said it is our wedding and he wants the 2 of us to choose every detail. That way it will really be OUR wedding. It is alot of planning but everyone goes through it. Im not the first and definitely wont be the last.

Mine has been very stress free (knock on wood). FH has been involved 100% as well, and it's been nothing but fun. I know we still have a lot more to do, and 10 more months to get through, but thankfully so far so good.

So far it has not been stressful now that all my vendors are booked my std will be in next week I am Happy where we are in the planning, ijust need the BM to finish ordering there dresses 4 to go- i am a little annoyed at that, 2 already, then I will started there gifts and take them all out to Lunch , and really should not have anything to do till the end of Aug. so we can take a break!!

not really stressful so far....but i did think when we first got engaged at the end of september, we we DEFINATELY have all major vendors and other vendors booked by the 1 year mark...
yup...that didnt happen...

So far wedding planning has been a lot of fun and stressful at the same time. I fell like this is a HUGE research project and maybe it's me but I've been anal about researching every vendor beyond words....for example it took me a month and a half to book a photographer because I researched almost each one. The running joke is that post wedding I will open my own consulting firm!
