Timber Point Country Club

Hello

My fiance and I are going to check out Timber Point Country Club. Has anyone been there recently and have anything to share, good or bad?

Thanks!

We went to a wedding there in June....the food was pretty good, and i liked that there was an outdoor cocktail hour. the only thing that bothered me was the fact that the dance floor is not in the middle of the room - it is on the side.

My brother got married there, but that was 10 years ago. From what I remember, it was a good time. The dance floor in the corner was kind of good for my family because the younger people were seated around the dance floor, and the older people were further away from it.

Make sure you haggle - Lessing's, from my experience, was very flexible in their pricing.

I had my wedding booked there for this july 1, 2006, and found another place that is lots cheeper, they are VERY EXPENSIVE, and kinda made me feel like i was not important. which you need to feel...... the food was ok when i tested it and it is so amazing in there, but it is ur day and make sure u get all the attention !!! good luck

I am getting married there in August and I just love it. It is quaint and homey but also elegant and classy!! I found the prices to be reasonable and I heard the food is awesome! The people I have come in contact with have been extremely helpful and didn't make me feel unimportant! I initially met with Ben last September and spoke to him over the phone a couple of times. When my FH and I went to a bridal showcase there last month, he remembered us. That was important to me!
I have heard only good things about weddings there and hopefully mine will go on without a hitch too!!

Hi! I actually just went to a wedding there on Friday night. It was very pretty - the ceremony and the cocktail hour were both outside. After the ceremony was over, though, you saw the staff moving the chairs around and setting up tables for cocktail hour where the ceremony had just been.

The reception room was very pretty. The dance floor being in the corner wasn't a problem - you could still hear and see everything pretty well (like the announcements for the father/daughter dance, bouquet toss, etc).

The food - what I had was good - they did a buffet. I had some kind of duck that was very good and a piece of sirloin - also good, mashed potatoes, caesar salad. My mom tried some of the pasta dishes - she said the penne a la vodka was not good at all. There was a chocolate fountain, but not much to dip - marshmallows, strawberries and cantaloupe - that might have been the bride's choice, though - and the chocolate itself was yummy!
