Time For A Poll! Which Favor Would You Do?

Ok. FH and I are having a hard time deciding on a favor. Here are the options.

1. A CD, burned with all songs from the 40's that will be playing at our wedding. It will have an image of the ballroom and come with the pocket sleeve for the CD. Will be done in wedding colors.

PRO: Would be a fun gift for the guests as I don't think people give out music from the 40's a lot.

CON: Very Labor Intensive - I have a 300 person wedding (ETA)

2. Godiva Chocolate Favors. We can get an extremely good discount on them (hence, the reason why we want to do them). They are gold, which matches color scheme too. We'd get the 4 piece.

PRO:Because of the discount, the favors would come out to be the same, and we'd be doing the four piece instead of the two.

CON: Doesn't do much for my 'wedding theme' - other than the color. And I'm adding that I have an issue when at weddings and other functions, guests open up the edible favors...and eat them!

I like both I love godiva chocolate but it can get expensive and the cd's you can m ake y ourself so depends o n your budget and if your getting a discoutn on the godiva chocolate

it's the same price.

so for the same amount of money, should i do the cd or the godiva.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of 40's music at all. So if I were attending your wedding I would much rather get the Godiva. But generally speaking I would lean toward the chocolate, I just think it's a good idea.

the cds are also a little more personal, but it seems more people would prefer the chocolate.

normally I am a big fan of the edible favor. however, given you theme, and the fact that most movies have soundtracks. it would be perfect for your wedding to have one as well- I think it would do a lot more than the chocolate would...and this is coming from a confirmed CHOCOHOLIC!

I dont think that favors have to follow the theme of the wedding.

I am such a chocoholic and I love Godiva, but for a favor I'd prefer the CD. I just like to take something home with me that I can keep, I never eat the edible favors and end up wasting them. Or if I eat them then my favor is gone!

But there is a concern with CDs, do all/most of your guests have CD players. I'm sure the younger ones do but the older guests who would really enjoy the 40s music might not. That was my concern, or else I would've done CD favors!!

we are on the same wave length.

FH leans towards the other gals. but i think it is more because of the possibility of getting something big for a low price.

the only other suggestion i have for myself is possibly doing the CD favors for the rehearsal dinner... 'Rehearse With Me...The Best is Yet To Be...' kind of thing.
