Time For A Poll! Which Favor Would You Do?

Ok. FH and I are having a hard time deciding on a favor. Here are the options.

1. A CD, burned with all songs from the 40's that will be playing at our wedding. It will have an image of the ballroom and come with the pocket sleeve for the CD. Will be done in wedding colors.

PRO: Would be a fun gift for the guests as I don't think people give out music from the 40's a lot.

CON: Very Labor Intensive - I have a 300 person wedding (ETA)

2. Godiva Chocolate Favors. We can get an extremely good discount on them (hence, the reason why we want to do them). They are gold, which matches color scheme too. We'd get the 4 piece.

PRO:Because of the discount, the favors would come out to be the same, and we'd be doing the four piece instead of the two.

CON: Doesn't do much for my 'wedding theme' - other than the color. And I'm adding that I have an issue when at weddings and other functions, guests open up the edible favors...and eat them!

definitely definitely the chocolate.

Like many others said, I've received CD favors before, and I listen to them one, then they find a happy spot in a drawer, under a dresser, or sometimes even in the garbage (sweet 16s- ugh!)

Just want to share my family's input on this, because it came up recently as a result of receiving a CD at a family member's wedding: The majority of the family HATED the CD idea, especially the older relatives. They felt it was selfish of the couple to think that everyone else wants to listen to what they like.

I don't necessarily feel THAT harshly about CD favors, but if its a CD or GODIVA, mmmmmmmm- CHOCOLATE, hands down!

I think if you give someone a great edible favor (Godiva) you shouldn't be upset they eat it at the wedding.

I am still undecided!!! I think FH is going to have to make the call on this one.

But...I know I shouldn't get upset, but I do - when I see people eat the favor at the wedding, esp. if you are having V hour or great other treats - it drives me INSANE to see them eat it. I think 'why can't you just take it home'... I know this is a personal crazy thing - it just drives me nuts.

I am having a NYC to go cart - so I can always have them put them on there at the end of the night. BUT...the gold boxes would be perfect for my room and would want to utilize that in my design.

Would it be rude to say on the label 'open this box now and my FH will shoot you?'

UGH...choices....

On the other hand, ... do i really want to burn 200 CD's???
