Time of Ceremony on invites???
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
I think you should put 11 am on the invite.

i agree put the actual time
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
We put half-hour early, which was probably too much. I've been to so many weddings that said one time, when the actual ceremony was a bit later. I hope your guests don't assume that the ceremony will begin after 11 if you put 11 down. I think 10:45 is okay, because you will have your musicians playing at that time.
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
I put a half hour before. Our musician will be starting a half hour before the ceremony as the guests arrive. We are also getting married at the reception hall. And to be honest, I have been to a few weddings where I have seen a few couples rush into the ceremony as the bride was walking in. Some of my family runs a little late, although we are so punctual. If we are 5 minutes early, we are late.

I put the actual time on my invites. I have been to weddings where we got there and had to wait a half an hour before the bride came. I didn't like that at all - because we are all sitting in the Church waiting. We got there earlier than the time she said so that we could find spots and then we waited close to 45 minutes before it began.
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
I am putting a half hour before hand.
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
I think you should put the time it starts. People should know that if the wedding STARTS at the time that they need to get there before then. I have never been to a wedding that started EXACTLY on time anyway, so they should definitely all be seated by then. JMO.
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
I put the actual time. I feel like most people know to be on time for church and if someone dares try to walk down the aisle while I am reciting vows, I am sure there will be someone from the church who will hold him or her back until there is an appropriate point to be seated.

Well if your family is anything like mine or FH's then you need to put it earlier. I'm having the same dilema. Originally I was going to put a 1/2 hour earlier, but now I'm leaning towards maybe 15 minutes earlier. Good luck!
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
i think you should put the actual time. i think for the majority of guests that will be on-time, it is rude to make them wait.
Re: Time of Ceremony on invites???
Put actual time. Guests understand that the time on the invite is the time the ceremony starts, so they wil adjust their schedules to get there a bit early.
