Re: Time question
I wouldn't want my party to end earlier than 12, but I wouldn't want it to end later than 1.

Re: Time question
As long as it's starting later it's not to bad. But I would worry about the older people and people who have kids that they need to get back to. But if you don't have a lot of these type of people go for it!

Re: Time question
Its funny because in Poland wedding last all day and all night, sometimes even two days. So i want me wedding to last as long as possible. It'll probably end at 1 and then an after party for the younger crowd.

the only kids that would be their are those in the bridal party and immediate family which there aren't that much. Were only having 13 and older as far as inviting kids go so I hope that helps.

Re: Time question
mine ends at 1:15am. my family is a little concerned that the older people will leave much earlier than that. our ceremony starts at 7:30, so Fox Hollow said after cocktail hour and everything dinner won't actually be served until about 10:30-11pm....that seems so late! but they said that's the standard time for a Saturday night wedding.

I think it's kind of late, but if people are having a good time the time will fly. Those who will leave early would probably leave early regardless.

I think it should be fine. There are always people who are going to leave early. But they are going to know it's going to be late from the invitation so I really don't see it being a problem especially if everyone's having a good time and the bar stays open! lol

Re: Time question
yeah, i mean i know i can't worry about the older folks who will want to leave. and we're not having kids at the wedding, so we don't have to worry about that!
that's the standard time at Fox Hollow for Sat. night, they won't change it...we asked. They have a 7pm start time or a 7:30 start time. we got the 7:30pm because the other wedding going on that night is doing 7pm and they like to stagger the weddings. but a half hour really wouldn't have changed much anyway.
so cocktail hour is from 8-9, then with the introductions/first dance, appetizers, dinner is around 10:30pm. i'm sure i won't notice though...Fox Hollow says everyone is full from the cocktail hour (we get tons of food) that it's never a problem.
what time are you ladies having your evening weddings start?

Re: Time question
mine is ending at that time and i know some ppl will leave early and that is fine...we are having between 300-350 guests so if half the guests leave there will still be a good amount of ppl...Plus my family, they think 2am is SO early to end a wedding, usually it goes on past 6am so this was a compromise to end it at 2am and even my dad was like That early? lol
I guess its a european thing bc i saw someone else said the same thing.

Re: Time question
I think when you get the invite, you see what time it starts and you'll know about what time it ends. If people want to leave early, that's up to them.
Now, if you said it was a Sunday night wedding...that would be a different story.

Well 300-50 people is a lot....so youre right even if some leave, your still good..im sure not allll 300-50 will be leaving early, you will still have plenty of people to party with till 2am. i think it depnds onhow many people youre having, and also the type of people that youre having, if they usually stay at get togethers and weddings late and wont mind going home at that time then you should be okay, but if you are having not that many guests or the types that wont stay, then it might be alittle too late for most people.

Re: Time question
I think the old people will definitely leave early, but your friends are going to have a blast and stay untilthe last minute. The only thing to consider is what time you will be served your dinner. Our reception is from 6-11, but we are going to do the 'after party' thing and extend it till 12. My cousin just had her wedding and it was from 7-12, we wound up dinner at 9.30, thats why i wanted to push my RH up an hour.
