Our caterer wanted us to come in this weekend to do a tasting. FH and I feel like it is way too early for that (6 months before the wedding) -- we wouldn't be doing a tasting to see if we like the food, but rather to start deciding on the menu. How far in advance of the wedding do you plan on doing the tasting? Not like I am objecting to eating cake and icing here but I think it is too soon!

No go and try it! We tasted before we booked b/c food is SOOO important to us! so we tasted well over a year in advance!

if it is to choose your menu, IMO its too soon. but if its just to taste, then why not!
