How long does it take to get invitation in after ordered. Also how far in advance to you pick out tuxedos?

We're getting our tuxes ordered in April before prom season begins so nothing gets confused or done wrong. We're ordering our invites at the end of the month.

It really depends on where you order them from. Some places can take 6-8 weeks and others are quicker. I think 4 weeks is the norm. I ordered my invitations from NY Wedding Affairs and I got them in 8 days! They were beautiful, average priced and the woman even called to confirm that I received the invitations and they were satisfactory. She also called me and asked if I would like to save money on tax by paying by check instead of credit card. She was great!

Tuxedo's depend on the time of year. If you are getting married prime wedding/prom season, you want to order them much sooner to ensure they are not out of stock.

Our invitations took about a week to come in, we were told 7-10 days originally.
The tuxes should be picked out about 2-3 months before your wedding.

Invitations usually take like 2 weeks. Most of the time sooner. And Tuxes should be ordered way ahead of time if your getting married in May or June. Like I'm getting married in May, and because of prom season, we're doing it in early Jan or Feb. I definately don't want to take that chance.
