Of course. Anyone providing a good service for you should be tipped!

Hmm I don't think you do. Especially if hair is $100+ - they would have made 100 just for you for the hour. If you don't have a tight budget then I say go for it.

I think you should. I know they shouldn't but they will probably expect it.

Usually hair & makeup or beauty services are a 15-20% tip. If it is too much to give that, what about just $5. It's something...

I struggle with this same question and do not want to minimize their services but feel if it is their own business, they incorporate travel, time and service fees into the price their quote plus its a CASH business. But then I would feel cheep if I didn't ?????

Re: Tipping hair and makeup ladies. need help
So I was curious as to what to tip everyone, dj, photog, etc. and came across this on the knot...
It gets to be expensive but I think you should tip whether owner or not. Especially if they do a great job!

Business owners are do not technically need a tip, but you may want to give a little extra, as I bet most people tip them anyway.

The article on the knot does mention florist and anyone making deliveries like cake, tent, chairs etc. It def adds up

Re: Tipping hair and makeup ladies. need help
i had this same question. The tip is usually because the person performing the service did not get to set the price they are paid, so you compensate them for doing such good work for a price they have no control over. I sort of feel like if you own your own biz, you control the price and ask what you think you deserve. The quality of the work is already reflected in the price...
