Tips for Vendors

I was wondering what is everyone doing or did with regards to tips for vendors, if the person representing the vendor is the owner.

I dont plan on tipping owners unless the mood strikes me that they did an amazing job.

I have seen a thousand posts on this but I am still confused on what is appropriate to give as a tip and to who? What about a event coordinator, bridal attendant? Preist? DJ? Any tips from brides who are married would be great.

this has always been so confusing - I have a few vendors that own their own business, but other brides in the past have tipped them (from this board) so now I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to insult someone by not tipping them, but I personally think the whole gratituity issue has gotten way out of hand!!

We did not tip any vendors that was an owner we only tipped their assistant(s)

i am not tipping owners but I will give them a nice bottle of wine when all is said and done if I am very happy.
