I think cash would be best, but can you imagine if the person holding them for you loses them or they 'walk away'.

we did cash in little labeled envelopes and they just put it their pocket immediately.

i would say cash only. make sure whoever is handing them out is a responsible person. we held the envelopes in my sister/MOH's bag and she had it with her during the entier reception. then DH took them and gave them out.

I have to agree with the girls..Cash is always better..my SIL is going to hold it for me and my DH is going to give it out...but make sure the night before, you put it in the envelopes and mark it as to who it belongs too..it makes things easier...

we divided up the money and put them in envelopes days before hand.

always cash. the last thing you want to deal with after your wedding is waiting for them to get around to cashing a check!!!
