i think best buy is the only place that sells it besides costco or go on www.tivo.com they have deals on it but i think costco had a 70hr machine for 250 the one in lake grove

I totally agree- I got it as a wedding gift too, and it does change your life! I love it!
what service did you get? the lifetime sounds reasonable if you have the box 2+ years...but what about moving...we will be moving 4 months after xmas...does the service carry over?
does anyone have the lifetime service...and have you moved with it...
I have the PVR with DISH which comes included in their package now when you signed up. Its just like TIVO...I LOVE IT!

Re: TIVO owners
I didnt get the lifetime.. i pay the 12.95 per month, the tivo unit costed me 300.00 and then to put another 299.00 for lifetime on top of that was to pricey for me..
I still cant figure out how to tape what i am not watching..

Re: TIVO owners
Swags...yup, I'm pretty sure you do.
Right now, we have Direct TV, and if I buy TIVO through them, I can get it much cheaper than just buying a TIVO unit at the store. But, their availability is not as good as retail, tho.
