Ok so I am watching TLC Stacy(from What not to wear) on a show called Fashion Forward and they were looking at wedding dresses etc. and has anyone ever heard of kleinfeld Bridal http://www.kleinfeldbridal.com/index.cfm OMG this place looks amazing dressing ranged from $1200 up to thousand upon thousands!! Amazing!! Its in Manhattan I cannot wait to go there!! Anyone hear about the store They said it is the size of an entire block in Manhattan its from 19th to 20th st the whole store!!! Is it weird that I am so excited!!!

I've heard of that a lot on these boards. A lot of girls get their dresses there. I saw parts of that show...wow! I probably wouldn't buy my dress there but I would love to look!!!

2008 -er crashing in; I believe you need an appointment for Kleinfeilds-- think so but not absolutley sure.

I bought my dress from Kleinfelds, and kleinfelds is known to be the biggest bridal store and very well known. It is a gorgeous store...I know on the show it said dresses start at $1200 and up but if you go to their site and go there they say $1800 and up which also applies to ANY dress in there not just bridal dresses bc they also have evening wear. They have just about every designer...the service was absolutely amazing and had such a great experience. Plus every weekend they have a trunk show.
And yes you need to make an appointment in order to go there, the appointments are 90 minutes.

Yeah just about every place...i know theres a few but very few places some girls were able to just walk in but definitely make an appointment ahead of time for every place you plan to visit bc most likely they require one.
RK bridal you dont make an appointment, if you go on a weekday its not bad but on weekends its a zoo and you have to put your name on a list and it can take long until its your turn

Ever since I can remember my mom told me she was taking me there for my wedding gown! But now i heard of an even better place in Manhattan called the Bridal Building. Every designer is on a separate floor. I also heard the prices werent so bad either!

well the bridal building is a bit different from kleinfelds...theres several floors but from what i know they have other services, such as flowers, photographers, limo and a bunch of other wedding things... also dresses are sold there at a discount, so not sure exactly which designers they have and how many. Its the same as the wedding world in commack and the other wedding something place in LI where you get everything for a wedding in one place, such as other wedding vendors.
ALSO big thing is ALOT of the dresses are samples, bc in the bridal building its basially showcases and its only once a week you can go there to see the show cases and buy a sample and sometimes its not every saturday the schedules can change...they also do some special order dresses where they actually make it for you instead of buying a sample. But basically its kind of the way a sample sale is

I went their a couple yrs ago with my girlfriend who was gettting married at the time. Nice store! Very expensive. They use tto be located in Brooklyn but then just recently they moved their HQ to Manhattan.
I personally like Rk Bridal. Also, the Bridal Bldg on Broadway in Manhattan

I'd love to go but i'm too scared too because I already know it's over my budget and I wouldn't want to get hooked on a dress (and experience) that I can't afford
