Hello.

I HATE the Mets. They suck. Their fans are fools who come back year after year and root for them every year even when they have no shot at winning. The Mets do not know how to spend money.. but the Yankes sure do.

It's called 'loyalty'. real fans stick by their teams even when they s u c k!!

I remember DonnieBaseball. I saw some of him in 95. He was no Keith Hernandez.. even I admit that.. but he was a good player.. and he is a nice guy/good coach.. Anyone remember the Simpsons episode with the sideburns joke?

I am a TRUE yankee fan.. no one should doubt that. Let go Soriana!... arrgh!!!!

YANKEESSSS!!!!!!!

Thank you!

Without a doubt!! I remember going to games back in the day when the stadium was half full.....they were terrible but I was still a fan

I used to LLLOOOOOOVVEEEEEE Steve Sax 2nd base(during Mattingly times) My ex used to get front row tickets all the time (1st and 3rd base lines) I have so many pics of him....wonder what happend to him

Steve Sax was adorable! I think he's retired now, I would imagine anyhow. I was also a big Dave Righetti fan, loved him!!

Those were tough years to be a Yankee fan , though ... they were pretty painful to watch.. its still a shame that all their recent good fortune came the very season AFTER Donnie Baseball retired ... breaks my heart

One last time - friend of OctG here

But then we got Knoblauch. The Yanks NEVER had a better second baseman than him.

Dear FOOG (friend of Oct Groom)

True indeed, Knoblauch was pretty, uh, 'great' (i.e. crappy) .. no doubt about that (don't hit the ball to Knoblauch!) ... but really, how can you compare Knoblauch to a talent such as Robbie Alomar? Now THERE was a player that the Mets should have HELD ONTO FOR DEAR LIFE!!!

I am bothered by the fact that Mets fans take it out on the diehards that there are bandwagon fans. Deal with it. Any team that's winning is gonna have bandwagon fans. It's a fact of life. It's like when I was a Phish-head in High School. No one knew who they were Freshman year, and made fun of me for being a fan and wearing t-shirts. The next year you couldn't spit without hitting someone in a Phish shirt. It's just obnoxious and childish.

So what the Yankees have had a few good seasons? The Mets have had a few good seasons (granted, none recently), but the Yanks LOST the World Series last year, remember? And in 2001. And they didn't even make it in 2002. So grow up and deal with it.

Hey Don,

I don't appreciate you calling met fans fools. There is no need to insult people...It's low class and I'm sure that any yankee fan with class would agree that that was uncalled for. I didn't call any yankee fans fools but it looks like you are a yankee fan with no class. I know yankee fans that are a lot nicer than you are.

Re: To all the Yankee fans

oh but it's ok Rachel for Yankee fans to constantly put down mets fans just because the yankees are a better team?

PrincessRose Posted:

Re: To all the Yankee fans

I don't put Mets fans down for them losing, I get annoyed with Mets fans for taking out their frustration on Yankee Fans.

Remember, I ROOT FOR THE METS WHEN THEY'RE NOT PLAYING THE YANKEES!!!!!!!!!

ETA:

Don's not a Yankee fan. He's a Mets fan. I think he was quoting Friend of OctGroom and forgot to write a post of his own.
bedda26 Posted:

Re: To all the Yankee fans

I can't root for the Yankees because all the yankee fans at my job always give me grief about my team and I am so sick and tired. Every game they win they rub in my face but yet nobody in the office mentioned that they lost last night.

who's been doing that?

Re: To all the Yankee fans

and the only thing i have against 'bandwagon' fans, is that they become all smug that their team is winning, and insult the losing teams. Sure, its easy to root for the winning team... but don't put down the loyal fans that stand by their losing teams!!

edited to add- and that goes for ANY bandwagon fan... even Mets, even music groups.
