I thought the thread was great and I know people feel strongly one way or the other, that's the way it should be. If we all thought the same way, it would be pretty boring.

And I never said my opinion or views were right, they were just my thoughts.

OMG!!!! I just read what she wrote. That was very immature and just really makes my blood boil. I can't believe that!!!!! That was straight up nasty. No doubt about it.

I am not responding to her. No need to prove myself to her. Kudos to all of you who were mature women about the topic.

'If you have nothing nice to say...Don't say anything at all' A true life lesson if you ask me.



Also, Thank You all for letting me disagree and not biting my head off. It goes to show that everyone is truly entitled to their own opinion. I was part of the loosing vote on the poll and everyone debated normally and in a mature way. I expressed my view and everyone expressed their's. Thanks!

I loved your response! Thank you for speaking for all of us. That kind of name calling is what makes people leave the boards for good, and then the rest of us lose out.

It could have gone down the tubes in a flash like so many before; but for the most part everyone behaved well.

I had something in mind, but I can't remember it now...I think it had something to do with kids...or childcare...but that doesn't sound very controversial...let me try to remember.

Yay!!!!!!!! That's really really great news.

And yes, it was great to have the discussion with you guys. I actually read something on CNN this morning that I had thought about posting here to see everyone's feelings. If you're looking for a topic...

Affirmative Action REALLY troubles me, actually, and I'm very liberal, anti-discrimination and all.

It's just that I don't see how it's possible to make sure that the MOST QUALIFIED person always gets the job, because there are still backward thinkers out there who will hire the white person because they're white, the black person because they're black, what ever.

It's very difficult to legislate against discrimination.

While I didnt participate in that debate, I have to say I was very impressed that you all were able to have conflicting opinions and nobody got mean.(while the actual debate was going on - not at the end!)
