But what I DO find mindly suspicious is how people come 'from elsewhere' just to start with people. You don't hear from people in weeks- but then they show up to call people bigots?
If you really wanted to be a part of this community you wouldn't only show up when you wanted to throw around names and insults.
If that is what goes on 'elsewhere' I'm glad I'm here.
Sassy we finally agree on something! It's so weird how we don't hear from people in months and then they come back and start name calling.
that was funny.
I know- I find it very very sad that they never come over here to say anything nice, but only to be nasty.. but then they blame the fact that THIS site was nasty on why they left. and all I know is, it hasn't been very nasty here lately.

Yeah, I think they are trying to instigate trouble, but it's getting old, and nobody is falling for it.

Lets just drop this. I hate drama threads about drama threads. We also don't always need to turn everything into 'us against them.' It only further purpetuates animosity and division among people who still do post here.
Who cares about what goes on elsewhere anyway?

I just want to say that the gay marriage debate is such a sensitive subject, and that's why it can bring up very strong reactions. It's not like a 'should the drinking age be 18' debate. It's about love and civil rights. So please understand why someone may use a word like 'bigot'; I am not saying it is right, but it is understandable b/c the topic literally hits home for some people.

That's like defending those extremists who kill abortion doctors.

Calling someone a name is not the same as murder

I understand that this is a sensitive subject but it was all general and different opinions.
When someone calls someone a bigot, its taking it to a personal level and its not true, so thats why i took offense to it

Well, I know Michele quite well and I can say with 100% certainty that she is not a murdered In fact, there is not a homicidal bone in her body
ETA: Lets not add flames to the fire here. I say we move on and get ready to enjoy the weekend, which is finally here - woo hoo!

Well...Yes, you're right...It's an extreme comparison. But still in the same vain.
To respond with such apparent anger and feel it is justified because we don't agree on something...That's all I meant.

Ladies. Lets call an end to this one. These issues may be very sensitive to people and we are all entitled to our passions on either side of the argument, but calling people names is wrong. Period. PLEASE let this be the last post.

I didn't call you a bigot, Kelly. I just said that Michele is not a murder and I was trying to lighten the mood. No harm intended.
