Ok, what are your thoughts for this for a honeymoon? Because we have absolutly not clue what to do, or even consider.

The only thing I know about cruises is to think about when and where you are going to go as far as the seasons. I saw that your wedding is in June, so this shouldn't be a problem for you, but if you decide to go at another time, if you leave from New York you will lose several days for travel down to the Carribean. So going on a week long cruise means you'll only end up spending half of the time down there. Leaving from Florida means more time spent down south but then you have to figure out price changes (it's cheaper to have a cruise leave from there, but then you have to work in air fare). Again, this shouldn't be a problem for you because your wedding is in the late Spring, but for someone leaving in the winter it would make a difference.

We are having a winter wedding and going on a cruise two days after the Wedding. We are leaving out of Florida so we will be flying to Florida on the Sunday (day after wedding). So do you think winter cruises are not a good idea? Is this something I should be worried about? Sorry I am just a worry wart! Thanks!!

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise

I went on a 9 day Royal Caribbean cruise that left out of Jersey. I absolutely loved it!!!! My FH is so hung up on it still, he wants to do it for our honeymoon. I wanted to look into staying on an island, but I know with a cruise I am guaranteed to have a good time. Therefore, we are leaning more towards a cruise now!! I definitely recommend Royal Caribbean, they have great food and entertainment. Even the days when you are at sea you are still having so much fun. I never got sick on the ship, but you can take something if you are concerned. For dinner you are able to request that you have a table by yourselves, if you don’t want to sit with others. Also, you can get great deals on a cruise which makes it fit into your budget nicely. Good Luck!!

We got engaged on a cruise and it was the best experience of my life!!! We are dying to go back!!

We couldn't deciede what to do for our honeymoon, we're actually still trying to figure it out. We love cruises, but we also wanted to spend a few days on an island. Cruises are cheaper out of Florida and Puerto Rico..so for right now we are considering going to PR for 4nites, then taking a cruise from there ..all together I think it came out to 10 days and it'll cost around $3500 which I think is AMAZING! I'm pretty sure I included airfare in this quote also.

HTH!

we got engaged on a cruise toooooo!!!!!!!!!!
that was the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! cruises are very relazing..many many things to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i say if you never been to one....go ahead and do it!!!!!!!!!

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise

This is a good question because FH and I have never gone on a cruise and we were wondering if that would be a good thing to do for our HM. I am really afraid of the whole open water thing and getting sea sick but all I keep hearing is about how wonderful they are and you eat soooo much food. So I think we might consider one that will go to the Carribbean.
