Ok, what are your thoughts for this for a honeymoon? Because we have absolutly not clue what to do, or even consider.

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
The only thing I know about cruises is to think about when and where you are going to go as far as the seasons. I saw that your wedding is in June, so this shouldn't be a problem for you, but if you decide to go at another time, if you leave from New York you will lose several days for travel down to the Carribean. So going on a week long cruise means you'll only end up spending half of the time down there. Leaving from Florida means more time spent down south but then you have to figure out price changes (it's cheaper to have a cruise leave from there, but then you have to work in air fare). Again, this shouldn't be a problem for you because your wedding is in the late Spring, but for someone leaving in the winter it would make a difference.

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
We got engaged on a cruise and it was the best experience of my life!!! We are dying to go back!!
We couldn't deciede what to do for our honeymoon, we're actually still trying to figure it out. We love cruises, but we also wanted to spend a few days on an island. Cruises are cheaper out of Florida and Puerto Rico..so for right now we are considering going to PR for 4nites, then taking a cruise from there ..all together I think it came out to 10 days and it'll cost around $3500 which I think is AMAZING! I'm pretty sure I included airfare in this quote also.

FH has mentioned that he has his eye on a cruise that leaves from Barbados and that he wants to spend a few days before and after there. while he's trying to keep the final decision on the HM a surprise, i'm all for that idea... i think cruises are convenient, fun, and relaxing and you get to go a bunch of places without getting bored at any of them! i loveee cruising!

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
I have been on two different cruises...I really like them. I would definatly recommend one for a hm. I think we are going to go on a Mediterranean one for our hm!! They are really sooo much fun...there is always something to do there...and I think that its a great idea that you would spend a few days on an island first.

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
I love cruises- all is taken care of for you. Your weddign is a great time of year for many cruises. i am an Oct bride and many ships to not sail to certain places due to weather. Also as far as europe goes, with dollar at a low and euro strong- may be best to see europe by boat so paid up front and not paying euro vs. dollar prices for hotels, etc BUT... on a cruise you are on a schedule at the ports and cannot explore as much as you may want to

have you ever done a cruise before? I went one and refuse to ever go again bc I get soooooo sea sick, I spent a week popping pills to ease the nausea and that still didnt get rid of it completely.....if you're not as weak as me then I would def consider it

CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been on 2 cruises since Sept. 07...I'm addicted!
We got engaged on our last cruise in Feb....it was the best vacation I've had yet.
It's so much fun, and everything is taken care of, and you get to see several places, rather than just traveling to one via plane. The food is amazing, night club is fun...I wish I could go on a cruise like every month lol.
I would recommend flying out of Florida or Texas because it is cheaper, and the destinations are usually better than leaving from NY. My friends did a Mexican Riviera cruise from California too, they loved it.
We are thinking of doing a European cruise for our honeymoon. You would fly to Italy or England, and then cruise anywhere from 7-16 days all around Europe. OMG I can't wait lol.
Any other cruise questions, FM me...I swear sometimes I think I should work for a cruise line!

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
FH & I just came back from a cruise 2 weeks ago and it was great! But, I wouldn't do one for HM. They are so scheduled, don't you just wanna relax and take it easy for the HM??

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
I would have to say no to a cruise only because I am against them... you always hear people getting really sick and what if you hit rough water.. cruises just aren't for me...but if you and FH like them then do it

Re: To Cruise or Not to Cruise
Cruises are amazing!!! I love watching the newlywed game on cruises... they pick the couple that is the most recently marrried, a couple that has been married the closest to 25 years, and a couple that has been married the longest and they ask them questions... SO FUNNY! We are considering a cruise for HM.

i would do sandals over a cruise.
i have only found that cruises are fun if you're on it with a large group of people that you know. otherwise they get really really boring. unless you love to meet new people, cruises aren't for you. you often have to eat dinner with other people, and if somebody rubs you the wrong way, chances are you won't be able to avoid them.
also, be careful which cruise you choose because you may get stuck on one that has a lot of families, and that's not really what you want for your honeymoon! (or maybe it is!)
