I've seen this go both ways but I am curious if there is a 'usual custom' about opening gifts in front of everyone at the e-party or not?? I would prefer not to because it can get time consuming but there are also some people that want you to open their gift now! now! now!

we didn't. most of our gifts were money in envelopes anyway but the gifts we did get, we did not open until we got home.

Same here. Instead, we opened them the next day in front of both of our parents
