I had another post similar to this one but wanted to get an idea from past brides...
Would you mind sharing how many people you invited and how many people actually came?
Thanks!

We got alot of disappointing No's.... I am still under my minimum I have to call the # in like 2 weeks.... We invited initially 163 but now we invited more people and we are now at 111 yes 53 no's

My RSVP deadline is the 18th, and so far only 6 people have said no.
I think winter weddings like I had are a bit different...the weather seems to change some peoples minds... example...we invite 235 and had 180

I heard to anticipate 20% responding 'no'

Awesome thanks everyone!!!
I am just wondering though since I sent save the dates like does that really change things? Or will the people that are going to say no say no regardless of a save the date?
I agree with winter weddings having an impact on numbers... if we have like a little more than 200 it would be SO perfect!

We invited somewhere around 220 and ended up with around 165 - Not really sure if the winter wedding had anything to do with it - we figured we'd get more yes's since most people aren't really going on vacations or anything right before the holidays...

Re: To past brides...how many people said no?
This is making me nervous as well. I have a 200 person minimum and so far my list is 301 people(this is with single people inviting with a guest). I have a decent amount of OOT guests. If I don't make it I might have to start inviting LIW girls :)!!!!
I am hoping when I send out my save the dates I will get some courtesy 'sorry I can't make it' calls!
I wonder if you can renegotiate the minimum! I would feel better having a 180 person guarantee.

i know someone who invited 300 and only 5 said no, so i think it just depends on your family and whether everyone lives nearby!

We invited 306 and we ended up having 220 at the wedding. We didn't make our minimum but they ended up throughing in some last minute things the day of. There were also A LOT of out of towners which is why the number was so high. Our minimum was 225. Don't forget to count vendors (DJ/band, photo/video) if they aren't a perferred vendor.
