So...
FH and I still debating...
I DO WANT IT (I dont need it) But I want Uplight now...

We got quoted $600 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For everything!!!!

Now I am debating...
Should I?? or Should I not???

Should we get the $600 or use them towards something elsE?????

At first I have said I dont want it but now im changing my mind...

HELP MEEE

We were debating this for a while as well. I think we've decided NOT to do it. It's one of those things that looks great when you do it, but won't be missed at all if you don't do it.

We got an amazing price to have it...like AMAZING. In the end, we both thought about things we can do with that money during the HM or just save it and spend it on nothing at all.

Like everyone else says, if it's in your budget, do it!!!! Are you doing a photo booth too? I would do the photo booth instead of the uplighting, but if the budget it's not there for uplighting, then I wouldn't do it.

save the money! i know people say it setts a mood or tone..but what guest is going to walk away saying 'what great lighting!' ?? just my honest opinion. plus wont most pictures be tinted with that color? i think uplighting is a trend we will all look back on and say what we were thinking lol. just my two cents. save the money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can do it financially, I say go for it! I love the way a room looks with uplighting. Also when we went to our photographer to book we saw some pics of brides and grooms with uplighting and that is what really sold us!

ok here is my theory becasue i was going through the same thing with FH... i really wanted uplighting in our room becasue i just think it looks amazing BUT... this was FHs argument...

'is it really worth spending the money for uplighting when 3/4 of the reception will be in the day light?' you will barely be able to see it with all the windows and light coming in from the outside... '

I thought about it and he was right... If your reception will take place mostly or all at night GO FOR IT!! it really makes the ambiance of the room that much better. BUT if most of your reception will take place in the afternoon or early evening when it is still light out... it may not be worth the extra money....

Just another way to look at it.....

I saw ur pics V, and Imma be 100% honest, I think ur room already has very nice lighting. THe uplighting does add a little something, but ur room is beautiful lit already and in my opinion, it doesnt need it. I think u can use that $600 for something else that u may need or want.
