I ended up adding uplighting like the week before my wedding! I was going back and forth about it but then figured that I would always think 'what if' if I didnt get it! I say if you have the funds for it, go for it! It adds a nice touch to the room! And you don't wanna think back when you look at your pics and say 'oh i wish i wouldve done it!'

I've never been to a wedding at your venue, but the pics (without the uplighting) are gorgeous! seriously, i think it is *just* as beautiful as with the uplighting. with that said, there is definitely a different vibe with the uplighting. maybe more of a 'coolness' factor, whereas without the lights it's got more of an elegant feel. why don't you think of what else the $600 could be used for (a limo, first class airline tkts for you honeymoon, etc) and then see if the uplighting outweighs the other things.
V - I feel like your room has natural lighting already - however if it's something you feel like you will regret - then you should do it.....I really want it to - but my CH starts at 5 and dinner at 6- it will still be light out in sept.....doesn't seem to make sense....I think it works better in rooms without windows you know?
I hate to say it, because it's soo easy to spend spend spend, but I'm reallllllly happy we had uplighting!
I think uplighting is definitely worth it...but $600 is pretty high from all of the quotes I got when I booked mine. How many lights are you getting? I'm paying $25/per light through my dj...but most quotes were still only $35/per light - ish........????
