I also voted no for the reson that I figured it would be an extra expense that really wasnt neccessary. I also dont have many OOT guests so it didnt really matter

Re: To STD or not...that is the question (w/poll)
I already sent mine out about a month ago. Everyone loved them, they were a combo Engagement Annoucement/STD
And we are starting to get gifts from our registry, because we put our website and our website has our registries, also we got cash so it really paid for itself already!!!!

i voted no bc i am not getting married during a holiday weekend AND my OOT guests are from Italy so they were informed of the date when we booked
i think they are cute tho - i am just trying to cut costs!

I voted yes, but then again, I have one of those families that need a year's notice for things...lol
I'm sure you can whip something up. I saw the awesome newsletter you made!

The only reason I sent them out was because all of FH's family and half of my family are OOT. Hey, even FH and I are OOT. We have one on our fridge!!

Re: To STD or not...that is the question (w/poll)
I did and honestly completely not necessary. I realize this now because i felt if people got them they would honestly contact us if they were deff not coming. This is what i always did.. we have lots of people we invited that we feel are not going to come so we felt it was proper for someone to give us a heads up this way we could invite other people.
Most people could care less in my family over the std. Honestly a few people made fun of it.

Re: To STD or not...that is the question (w/poll)
i said yes BUT that's only b/c i have them sitting next to me. whether or not they'll go out is a whole differant question. neither sets of parents have given us their finished guest list/address list yet!!
ETA: i want to send them b/c our wedding is on a friday so our ceremony starts before most people get off work. we also have a few OOT guests (not many though) AND it's Easter week so i'm worried a lot of guests will be taking vacations with their kids.
