... and I know I didn't gain a pound (or lose a pound) since I was fitted for it back in May. so can someone tell me why I have this nauseating feeling in my belly? I dont have jitters - been there - over it. Any thoughts?

I was so nauseous and anxious before I tried on my dress after it came in. Don't worry about it - those feelings will disappear once you are wearing it.

It's your dress! Opinions don't matter anymore, because you ordered it, it's here and it's YOURS! SO very exciting. I hope you will be taking some pictures

1) a football WIFE (no longer a girlfriend)
2) endless nights of HAVING to listen to your partner (where as you used to KIND OF listen)

It's anticipation - you want your dress to look perfect on you and you want to FEEL perfect in it....

It's called knots in the stomach and it's perfectly normal. Just breathe!

it's normal- I felt the same way- but bring someone- I went alone the first time and it was a mistake

I am going with the same people that were there when I picked the dress in the first place - my mom, oldest sister and my mom's weekday aide. Lord help me.

Just relax, Leslie!!! Breathe, that's the most important thing!! Just enjoy yourself!!

I have thought about this before and I think I understand why I feel this way. I want to picture FH seeing me all dressed up and happy - maybe with a tear or two in his eye(though typically not his style) and as soon as I think of that, I think about how the same look of pride would have graced my father's face seeing his baby get married. I am sad and ANGRY - yes ANGRY that he didnt live to see this day. There are so many conflicting emotions in my head that are so difficult to sift through. There is much more about Dad's passing that I hadn't shared with you in the past. As things become more real and closer to our wedding day, I am constantly reminded how he wont be there. Yes I know his spirit will be there but I am selfish. His spirit isnt going to kiss me on the cheek. His spirit isnt going to dance with me and his spirit won't toast my marriage. Please forgive this rant, but he is only gone almost 5 months and it feels like it were yesterday.

Rant all you want to! You have every right.... and that's part of what this board is about!

Leslie - I lost my dad many many years ago, but as I plan my wedding and realize that it will be my older brother walking me down the aisle, and kissing me on the cheek, the loss and sadness is sometimes overwhelming. I know of what you feel, and my heart goes out to you as it is still raw and new.
