Wait....what?! I've never heard of taking your priest out to dinner...especially at an expensive restaurant on Ash Wednesday to a steak house. Are you sure if this guy marries you that your marriage will be binding? j/k Give us an update as soon as you can please!! I'm dying to know what happens. And FYI we went to pre-cana for 3 sessions with a married couple. Not once, did the subject of sex come up.

Lisa is not getting married in a catholic church, shes getting married at a greek church which is a different religion. Greek orthodox doesnt do pre-cana. You just meet with the priest a little bit to talk, seems like her priest wants to talk at a restaurant to get a meal out of it

hey it comes out to less. Rather than anywhere from 500-1k for the church plus precana, you just will pay for his meal...not a bad deal

Ok, because I was about to say.. I'm catholic and FH is GO and we're getting married in a GO church.. and the priest said we'd just meet him a few times to 'talk', but said nothing about taking him to dinner. I guess it makes sense though since you're not paying the church fee. Good luck tonight and let us know how it goes!

Ok this makes much more sense now. My cousin married a Greek person and had to do the same thing. I sent her an email. The subject of premarital sex does come up...well at least it did when she was going thru it. Her husband was honest...i cant say that i would be so honest

believe it or not, my friend and her now husband took their priest out to dinner also; they are catholic.
