Tonight's the night

We were supposed to go to TImber Point last night just to make sure we were thinking with clear heads about the RH we liked on Sunday. FH basically said he didn't want to waste our time because from the moment he walked into the Riverview Restaurant he knew that's where he wanted to marry me and my concerns aside, he knows we will have a beautiful wedding there. So tonight we're off to leave our deposit. Really hoping to negotiate a little, even though I'm not sure if they will.

My big concern with them was the size of the room and the layout they do for a wedding. FH and my family are assuring me that most people will probably be at the bar or outside on their amazing deck when they aren't eating dinner. I'm hoping to go there next Saturday prior to a wedding to see how they set it up.

So wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed I get the nerve to negotiate.

Thanks. Starting to freak a little. Once that contract is signed, wow is this whole thing going to be totally real. Never really thought about marriage before. FH and I figured we'd live in sin and we were both fine with that. Then he goes and proposes. Men.

Haha, I think I almost threw up when we made that first deposit. It just made it all so.... so... final, and wow... we're really getting married.

But once we dropped that first deposit off, I felt WONDERFUL. Now I feel so good about everything, but I remember how nerve wracking that decision was, because you can't change it.... it's all like, final and stuff.

LOL, you'll be fine! I was nervous too before we signed. I stopped FH in his tracks outside the RH, looked him straight in the eye and said 'this is your final chance; are you SURE you want to do this??'

I've been saying the same thing to FH. Are you sure? You can back out. Think it's my insecurities talking cause he was upfront from the get go that he didn't want to get married again (really nasty divorce).

And I think I will feel better once that contract is signed and vendors are booked and I'm working on DIY projects instead of praying that the people I'm choosing will do right by me.

I did it! I feel so much better. Took a look around and its definitely bigger than I remember. Place is amazing. The staff was amazing. I really cannot wait now! Talked me out of the Viennese table. Said they'll supply the expresso and coffees and cordials but said people rarely touch the pastries and they find they end up throwing out more than they should at the end of the night. Said they'll figure out something to give me like a raw bar. He is also waiving the ceremony charge which was really nice of them. So excited!!!!!!

We added the Seafood Boat....I couldn't live without it, lol. They knocked off a few $$ per person for it because we did it at the time we signed the contract. And we got the mini-viennese too.

No, said how others were throwing it in and he said ok we'll do either pastries at your table or a raw bar. We're going to discuss it further saturday. I honestly believe him when he says he'll take care of me. Didn't even realize they waived ceremony fee until I got home and reviewed the contract again. Called him immediately and he said
Happy Wedding'. Thought that was really sweet. So excited now. Basically booked our photographer as well. Just got her contract so I just gotta sign it and mail it in with my deposit.
