Tonight's the night

Original post by amandah75

We were supposed to go to TImber Point last night just to make sure we were thinking with clear heads about the RH we liked on Sunday. FH basically said he didn't want to waste our time because from the moment he walked into the Riverview Restaurant he knew that's where he wanted to marry me and my concerns aside, he knows we will have a beautiful wedding there. So tonight we're off to leave our deposit. Really hoping to negotiate a little, even though I'm not sure if they will.

My big concern with them was the size of the room and the layout they do for a wedding. FH and my family are assuring me that most people will probably be at the bar or outside on their amazing deck when they aren't eating dinner. I'm hoping to go there next Saturday prior to a wedding to see how they set it up.

So wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed I get the nerve to negotiate.

i feel like from all the food at the CH, plus the dinner itself and the cake/dessert/trays, i have no need for a vienesse.. although it is nice but i'm sure my guests will be STUFFED by then..

Congrats on booking your RH!

How awesome!!! Whooo! I wish Fox Hollow would throw in the seafood bar... that's SUCH a sticking point with me, but hey... if we have extra money, we're going to go for it.

Our BM told us the same thing about the Viennese hour and we're getting pastries on the tables along with a cordial bar at the end and a dessert with the wedding cake.

We added the Seafood Boat....I couldn't live without it, lol. They knocked off a few $$ per person for it because we did it at the time we signed the contract. And we got the mini-viennese too.

eff that! i'm shooting for the mini vienese there! ***!! LOL

So did you decide on fox hollow?

I agree that no one touches the Viennese table. But it came with our package. We REALLY wanted the seafood boat and it was only $5 more to get the platinum package that included a whole bunch of other things.

FH not to keen on the raw bar. Said it can't think of many people who will eat raw clams or oysters with all the stuff in the news about tainted food. Will probably do the pastry platters. Maybe they'll do like shrimp and crab claws instead. Doubtful but we'll see. They are calling me Saturday to discuss the wedding more etc.

I can't wait!

Hahhaha :) So much fun! I'm going to look at Timber Point on 8/1 because I happened to have off work that day. Seems like you really like it though! Anyone you worked with in particular that you liked at lot?

At Timber Point? We actually didn't go there. FH thought it would be a waste of time since he was dead set on marrying me at the Riverview. At the Riverview we dealt with John who was helpful and the manager's son (think his name is Jimmy) who was the sweetest thing. Wanted to take him home in my pocket he was so cute.

Heard good things about Timber Point. Do a search on here and you'll find a few reviews about them.

Happy RH hunting!
