Too Late?
Hello all! I have been reading your posts and am getting nervous now! My finace and I got engaged at the end of August and moved from our home on Long Island to our current home in Northern Virignia. We moved mere days after getting engaged. I'm getting nervous that all the dates we're looking for have been booked. We're looking for a February wedding in 2016.I have booked appointments for Christmas week when we can be home at the following venues
Mansion at Timberpoint
The View at Oakdale
Windows on the Lake
Mansion at Glen Gove (waiting to hear)
Has anyone worked with these venues or talked to them? Am I too late to get married in 2016?

You're definitely not too late! There are still 2014 and 2015 dates available at a lot of venues. I think you'll have availability at almost every single venue since February is considered off season :)

You're definitely not too late! I can send you quotes I received from Timber Point if you'd like! Miriam was great and she truly cares about her brides! I also went to Bellport Country Club and West Sayville Mansion (another lessings venue) and got a quote online from Lands End but will be a lot higher than you'd get bc its for prime months.

Congratulations on your engagement! I have looked at eight Long Island venues in the past week. I'm looking to get married in Summer of 2016. There were so many options available! Don't stress :)

I think that the View only does Saturday afternoons - because they close down the restaurant for it. Since its feb and on the water they may be willing to work with you on that

Hi Amanda!!! It's Rose!! Lol so funny I haven't checked the 2016 board in.forever and today I decided to and I.found you!! :)We looked at Windows on the lake, but it was too small for us. So pretty though. Timberpoint is beautiful and food is delicious. That's a lessings venue and they offer all inclusive packages they change which locations offer it so idk if Timberpoint is offering it right now. Being in Virginia all inclusive might help so u don't have to shop for all your vendors separately! If you need any info don't hesitate to have Duffy call Dan!!
Hopefully we will see you guys over Christmas, you can come see our new house...we move in this weekend!! :) if not over xmas. See ya in March!! :) got your rsvp yesterday!! Ttys
