the $$ that's going to be spent on flowers is starting to frighten me. i got two quotes and i think it's crazy but i don't know how much flowers go for. i went to three places. at the first two i was asking about candelabras with wreaths around the base. yesterday i finally changed my ideas and am going for balls of roses. i'm going to post the quotes and would like to ask what you guys think. That's alot. I have plenty of things I'd rather spend 10K on. Like putting it towards a DP, furniture, vacations etc....
Shop around.
hells yeah!!!!!!!!!! This is the only project I would have loved to do myself, But I don't think I'll have the time.
Is it reasonable for me to ask to keep it at 5K for the whole thing for this many tables?
when you go to another florist, first give them your budget and tell them to not go over that this way they can suggest things only in the price range you want.
Still tell them your ideas of what you would love but this way they can make suggestions to keep it down

Re: Too much for flowers?
Instead of telling them what you want give them a idea of what you want and how much you want to spend. I told my florist I do not want to spend more than x amount what can I get with that? Then they will be able to help you better and cut somethings out or find similar flowers that are less expensive.
