Too soon to get bridesmaid dress?

Too soon to get bridesmaid dress?

I am excited! I think I found my bridesmaid dress...Considering that I haven't found my wedding dress, should I wait? I know that some places give a discount if you purchase both dresses at the same boutique. I have 7 in my BP. Thanks.

i say no, not too soon. with 7 girls it will be tough to coordinate schedules so all of you can go at once. the worst that will happen is the salon won't order the dresses until a certain date.

I say wait a little while. You've got over a year and it would really stink if you found something that you like even more once it gets closer to your wedding.

I am encoutering a similar situation (difference being I found my dress). I have 4 girls, and only 1 is OOT, but will be here for the E-Party next month. I have an appt to take all the girls (and FH & my mom) to see my dress and the BM dresses that MOH and I picked out last week. My thing is the one we like, if everyone else likes it, I want to order it. No hesitation in liking it...I love the BM dress, just afraid of 1/2 of my bridal party being preggo or just having had baby...which is SO possible!! (2 of my girls are going thru fertility processes!)

Sorry I didn't really answer, but I say, if they all like it, and you're sure on the color and style, AND you don't run the risk of pregnancies (not that it's a BAD thing!!) then ORDER AWAY!!

I think you should get your gown first, I dont have a real good reason as to why, just feel like your gown should be first....BUT overwise I dont think it is too soon,

I am getting married 1 week before you and I havent done it yet, But I would like to soon!

I dont think it is too soon, but I think that you need to make sur that you order the dresses at the same time so that when they are made by the manufacturer they come from the same dye. If you order them separately, they wont be made from the same dye and the shade of color might be slightly off.

IMO - wait until you find your dress and are POSITIVE on your color scheme - things change - If you find a bridal store that carries bridal and BM - they will give you discount - if not I REALLY RECOMMEND a BM store in Great Neck called Here Come's the Bridesmaid (516) 466-2432 and speak to Irene - she is WONDERFUL! and her prices are awesome - she knows a lot too and I found her to be a wealth of information - she can help you with timing and so on -
Also you might get some resistance from you BM to get measured soo early - you know everyone thinks they are going to loose 20 pound before the big day
FM me if you have any questions or need any help - GOOD LUCK!!

I started looking for BM dresses...I am 6 days after you! I am trying to delay my need for immediate gratification & wait until the end of the summer

I have my dress already & know that I want a baby pink as part of my colors.

Nothing is too early as long as you positive about your decisions...GOOD LUCK!
